Property aims to become Illinois’s First LEED-certified luxury hotel
The 144-room Hotel Arista in Naperville, Ill., has opened its doors and soon expects to receive LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The new property, which is 45 minutes from Chicago, is a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.According to the Arista, its facility uses 30 percent less water and 21 percent less energy than other hotels of similar size because it has been designed to meet LEED specifications. Furthermore, its cleaning products are free of chemicals. During construction, builders also cut construction waste significantly.
A statement released by the hotel outlines its meeting facilities: "The hotel features over 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space on three different levels: prefunction space and a divisible ballroom on the ground floor, intimate space highlighted by natural lighting on the second floor, and an executive boardroom with adjoining outdoor space on the 12th floor."
